Terms of Service

Last updated: June 4, 2026

1. Overview

Piko is a paid macOS utility for local-first voice dictation, text cleanup, recent history, and cursor placement. By buying, downloading, or using Piko, you agree to these Terms.

2. License

Your purchase grants you a personal, non-transferable license to use Piko on Macs you own or control. Piko is paid software, not open source software. You may not resell, redistribute, reverse engineer, or attempt to bypass licensing or payment controls.

3. Payments

Payments are processed by Stripe. Piko does not store full payment card numbers on its own servers. The listed one-time price covers the current major version unless a different offer is shown at checkout. Taxes, refunds, and chargebacks are handled according to the checkout provider, applicable law, and any policy shown at purchase.

4. Local-First Use

Piko is designed to process dictation locally by default. Optional online text cleanup, if enabled by you, may send transcript text to the endpoint you choose. Audio is not sent through that optional cleanup path.

5. Acceptable Use

You are responsible for how you use Piko and for any text you create with it. Do not use Piko to violate laws, infringe rights, compromise systems, or process content that you are not allowed to handle.

6. Disclaimers

Piko is provided as is and as available. Speech recognition and text cleanup may be inaccurate. You should review generated text before sending, publishing, or relying on it in important contexts.

7. Changes

We may update these Terms as Piko changes. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised Terms.
