Privacy Policy

1. What Piko Does

Piko is a local-first macOS dictation utility. Its default product path records audio on your Mac, transcribes locally, cleans the result, and places text where you are typing.

2. Local Data

Audio is processed locally by default. Recent transcript history and custom words are stored on your device unless you clear them or change product settings. Diagnostic data, if collected, should not contain the words you dictated.

3. Optional Online Cleanup

If you deliberately enable optional online text cleanup, transcript text may be sent to the endpoint you configure. Audio is not sent through that optional cleanup path. The privacy practices of your selected endpoint also apply.

4. Payments

Purchases are processed by Stripe. Stripe may receive payment details, billing information, and transaction metadata. Piko does not store full card numbers on its own servers.

5. Website Data

The Piko website may collect basic technical information such as browser, device, approximate location, referrer, and page interactions for security, checkout, and site improvement. Cookies or similar technologies may be used where necessary.

6. Sharing

We do not sell your personal data. We may share limited data with service providers needed to run Piko, such as payment processing, hosting, support, analytics, and legal compliance.

7. Contact
