Data Processing Agreement

1. Scope

This Data Processing Agreement describes how Piko handles personal data when providing the Piko website, checkout, support, and macOS utility. It supplements the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.

2. Processing Roles

For payment, licensing, support, and website operations, Piko acts as an independent controller. For local dictation content processed only on your Mac, Piko does not receive that content by default.

3. Categories of Data

Data may include account or checkout identifiers, email address, payment metadata, device and browser information, support messages, license status, diagnostics, and any transcript text you intentionally send to an optional online cleanup endpoint.

4. Subprocessors

Piko may use subprocessors for payment processing, hosting, analytics, email, support, and error monitoring. Stripe processes payments. Optional online cleanup providers are controlled by the endpoint you choose.

5. Security

Piko is designed to minimize server-side access to dictated content. The default product path keeps audio and transcript processing on your Mac. Access to operational systems is limited to what is needed to run the service.
